Residential Program
- Teens in this program stay at our comfortable, homelike facility, receiving 24/7 supervision and support from our compassionate team of mental health professionals.
Day Treatment (PHP)
- This program offers a smooth transition out of residential treatment, providing daily therapeutic support as teens readjust to life at home.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
- Ideal for adolescents who can fulfill school, work, and family or who can’t otherwise join a full-time program, our IOP includes 3 or 4 weekly therapy sessions at our outpatient facility.
We accept insurance
We work with most major insurance providers to minimize the cost of treatment for at-risk youth. See if your provider will cover your teen’s treatment costs.
What exactly is an at-risk youth?
The term “at-risk youth” typically refers to a young person who is statistically more likely to experience negative outcomes—such as academic failure, school dropout, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, mental health issues, or run-ins with the police—due to environmental, familial, or personal factors.
It is important to provide at-risk young people with the appropriate resources and support systems to help them overcome challenges, avoid negative outcomes, and reach their full potential.
It’s crucial to understand that being at risk doesn’t predetermine negative outcomes for a child. With the right interventions, support, and resources, many at-risk youth can overcome challenges to thrive adulthood.
Factors related to at-risk status
Several factors related to family, environment, education, and personal attributes can contribute to a child being classified as at-risk. Here are a few common ones:
- Economic deprivation
- A disruptive family environment
- Academic struggles or a history of school disciplinary problems
- Mental health conditions
- Substance abuse
- Negative peer influences
- Living in high-crime areas
- A history with juvenile justice or child services
