Clinical Director
Kendahl Florio, LCSW (they/them) is the Clinical Director at Avery’s House where Kendahl coordinates the treatment of adolescents at a residential treatment center level of care, including providing quality clinical reflective supervision for therapists, as well as clinical oversight for staff and using a trauma-informed care (TIC) model to help clients heal and find their aliveness. Kendahl has worked with young people in transformative mentoring for 5 years, and they have been in clinical practice for almost 9 years, where they utilize a social work, systems approach to clinical treatment. Kendahl provides whole-person-based psychotherapeutic approaches such as mindful self-compassion, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM), which can help with developmental and complex trauma.
Kendahl is an artist, gamer, hiker, musician, and mindfulness geek originally from Northern California, now living in sunny Phoenix.
